The object
The Barista Express combines an espresso machine, hopper-fed conical-burr grinder, and dosing cradle in one counter unit. Sixteen grind settings and an adjustable dose dial cover the basic dialing-in workflow before coffee moves directly into the 54-millimeter portafilter.
Extraction remains hands-on: the user distributes, tamps, starts the shot, and textures milk with the manual steam wand. The integrated layout saves space and simplifies a first setup, though its grinder offers less adjustment resolution than a dedicated modern espresso grinder.
