The object
The Encore ESP suits a kitchen that alternates between espresso and brewed coffee. Its dual-range adjustment splits 40 settings between a finer espresso range and a coarser range for filter brewing, making the distinction between those jobs easy to follow.
The upgraded M2 conical burr set and included dosing cup make this more than the original Encore with a new name. It is a practical starting point for home espresso, although its stepped adjustment offers less freedom to fine-tune a shot than a stepless grinder.
