The object

AeroPress Original steeps coffee in a straight chamber before hand pressure pushes the brew through a small paper or metal filter. That combination makes it easy to vary grind, temperature, contact time, and dilution while keeping sediment low and cleanup brief.

The standard chamber is best for one compact serving or a concentrate that can be diluted. It has no built-in flow valve, so finer grinds and longer steeps may allow some liquid to drip before pressing unless the user adopts an inverted method or accessory cap.
